A Hub for Digital Excellence
The Computer Labs at The Royal Group of Colleges, Borawal, Distt. Mansa, are designed to empower students with cutting-edge technological skills and hands-on experience. Our institution believes that practical knowledge is just as vital as theoretical learning—especially in an era dominated by rapid digital transformation. To bridge this gap, the college has established four fully air-conditioned, modernized computer laboratories that are equipped with the latest hardware, software, and multimedia tools.
Infrastructure & Technological Setup
Each of the four computer labs is spacious, ergonomically designed, and furnished with high-performance desktop computers powered by advanced configurations. The systems are maintained regularly to ensure seamless operation and smooth performance. Equipped with the latest generation TFT monitors, these systems offer enhanced display quality, low eye strain, and efficient energy consumption.
Software Ecosystem
To ensure that our students are trained on industry-standard software, our labs are enriched with a diverse and updated range of operating systems, programming environments, development tools, and creative applications.
These labs act as nerve centers for various academic, technical, research, and professional training activities across disciplines. Whether it’s foundational computer literacy, advanced programming, data analysis, or project development, our labs cater to the comprehensive IT needs of students and faculty alike.

Academic & Functional Use of the Labs
The Computer Labs are not just for Computer Science students—they are an integral part of the academic ecosystem for all departments. The labs are used for multiple academic purposes including curriculum-based classes, practical labs, interdisciplinary sessions, skill training, workshops, and project development.
Key Functions of the Computer Labs:
Research and Development (R&D) in Computer Science
Students are encouraged to innovate and experiment through R&D activities. These include projects related to software development, web technologies, cybersecurity, automation, and system architecture.
Postgraduate (PG) Lab Sessions
The labs serve as a digital learning space for postgraduate students, where they conduct research, prepare projects, run simulations, and carry out advanced-level coding and analysis work.
Cross-Departmental Computer Education
As part of a digitally inclusive curriculum, students from non-technical streams such as Commerce, Management, Education, and Arts are also trained in computer applications, office automation, data entry, and internet research skills.
BCA Software Project Development
Bachelor of Computer Applications (BCA) students make full use of lab facilities to develop real-world projects as part of their academic requirements. From ideation to deployment, every stage of project development is guided and supported within the lab environment.
Placement Training and Employability Skill Development
Regular classes are conducted to prepare students for placement exams. These sessions include training in programming, aptitude, reasoning, mock coding rounds, online assessments, and resume-building using various digital tools.
Internet and Online Learning Support
Students use lab hours for accessing online courses, certifications, MOOCs, webinars, and coding platforms like HackerRank, GitHub, CodeChef, and others to enhance their skills beyond classroom boundaries.
Faculty Development & Teaching Aid Creation
Faculty members also utilize the labs to prepare digital teaching aids, conduct online lectures, manage e-learning platforms, and monitor student projects and assessments.
